CFA Breeder's Assistance Program & Breed Rescue
(posted: 01/02/2005)

Welcome to the Breeder Assistance Program Website:
The CFA Breeders Assistance & Breed Rescue.

BAP was developed because of a need that we saw between Animal Welfare and Purebred Rescue.
There was no place for breeders to seek help in situations out of their control.
With BAP we will be able to help with advice, physical help and placement.

The word confidential is the key word to our interaction with you or someone you know that seeks advice or help.
You can contact the Chairperson or you can contact your individual Regional Coordinator whichever gives you the comfort level you seek. What comes to BAP stays in BAP.

If you or another breeder needs help with their cats please contact us!

Cfa Manx Breed Council
(posted: 01/01/2005)

The CFA Breed Councils were established in 1970 to serve as advisory bodies on breed standards to the CFA Executive Board. The Breed Councils channel opinions and suggestions from the individual breeder to the Board through the Breed Council Secretary elected by each specific breed.

Not withstanding the fact that the Councils shall serve the CFA Executive Board in an advisory capacity, the Executive Board shall not alter or amend any part of the standards for any breed, or add thereto, without first obtaining [within the prior 12 months] the approval of 60% of the members voting of the specific Breed Council (s) affected.

In no case will the CFA Executive Board accept a new breed without providing the Breed Council Secretaries of any breed which has been used to establish a proposed new breed an opportunity to comment.

ZNOTAILZ MANX IN THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PROGRAM ABOUT CATS~!
(posted: 01/01/2003)

ZNOTAILZ MANX are so proud to share our excitement with all.
We were invited to join other Feline Breeds at the CA Davis Campus, for the Program filmng for National Geographic's 'EXPLORER SCIENCE OF CATS', which was first aired on the National Geographic TV Channel on Tuesday June 10th '08.

GRAND CHAMPION BECKN MAGIC OF ZNOTAILZ & ZNOTAILZ TRUE BLUE represented the Manx Breed & were included in the photos of the domestic Feline Breeds that are presented in this project.

DNA was collected from all the cats that participated in the NG filming. This DNA was used in the study about the origin of domesticated felines being done at Davis.

This episode features the domestic cat research of Leslie A. Lyons PhD on feline genetics at the laboratory at UC Davis, with contributions of collaborators from Portugal, Italy, Egypt and all over the world, and also starring the beautiful cat breeds of the world. The story highlights the cat domestication and breed diversity research of genetics students Monika Lipinski and Jennifer Kurushima.

The featured research has been supported in part by donations and grants provided by the NIH-NCRR RR016094, The UC Davis Center for Companion Animal Health, the National Geographic Society, the Winn Feline Foundation, Illumina, Inc., and Qiagen.

MANX LITTERS THIS YEAR!
(posted: 01/01/2007)

This is our Black & White Tuxedo Manx male "Toones"
looking through the hole...................................>
Pictured in our photo gallery

STRONG, HEALTHY, ROBUST LITTLE MANX KITTENS OFTEN READY FOR THEIR VENTURE INTO THIS BIG WONDERFUL WORLD. Our kitties are our pets first and foremost, we breed for quality, not quantity. They sleep in our beds, come running upon hearing water running in the bath or shower, play a good game of fetch, nap in the sink, curl up on the couch next to us and are always under foot in the kitchen. Our Manx are raised with plenty of love and affection, and are extremely well socialized with children and adults alike.

If someone would like to trade me a small breed dog for a kitten I would entertain the idea of adding one.

MANY OF THESE KITTENS ARE "SPOKEN FOR" ....SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANY OF THEM PLEASE CONTACT ME SOON!!

See Pictures in our gallery

We would like to hear from those of you who are looking for a Manx kitten or two.
We have the pleasure of boarding my Sister Ann's Manx while she is traveling.
So we will have the opportunity to offer her litter also this Fall - 2008.

If I do not have a Manx available I can recommend Manx from my close friends that I partner with on Manx. Be sure to ask~!
